20 Years Banned - Sri Lankan Cricketer - Inappropriate behavior with Female player
Dulip PrasannaSamaraweera is a former Sri Lankan cricketer has been banned from holding any position for 20 years by Cricket Australia for serious violation of the code of conduct.
Dulip played in seven Test matches and five One Day Internationals for his country from 1993 to 1995
According to
media reports, the Cricket Australia Conduct Commission has found former Sri
Lankan cricketer and coach Samaraweera to have engaged in inappropriate
behavior and breached Section 2.23 of the Code of Conduct.
The former cricketer, who had faced allegations of misconduct with a female player, joined Cricket Victoria as a specialist batting coach in 2008 and became the interim head coach of the women's team in November last year.
Allegations of inappropriate behavior surfaced after a woman from Samaraweera Cricket Victoria came forward.
